Vaping puts nicotine into the body. Nicotine is highly addictive and can: slow brain development in teens and affect memory, concentration, learning, self-control, attention, and mood. This can increase the risk of other types of addiction later in life.
Parents: Be aware of signs your child may be vaping; mood swings, agitation, impulsivity, secretiveness, memory loss, inability to concentrate and anxiety are some of the key changes you may see.

-All incoming 6th grade students will require a physical within the last year
-All incoming 7th grade students will require a dental exam within the last year, an MCV & TDAP vaccination. Vaccinations will be due PRIOR to starting the school year. Your child will not be permitted to start the first day of 7th grade. Many students have completed these immunizations but an updated record has not been submitted to the school. Please make this a priority and update your child's immunization record as soon as possible.
**Disclaimer: Your child's PCP may not be accepting appointments at this time for immunizations. You may check with the office to see if your child has already had the required immunizations. We will accept email transmissions of proof only at this time.
Current Immunization Laws
All 7th grade students are required to have the following immunizations:
1 dose of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) if 5 years has elapsed since the last tetanus immunization
1 dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV)
If these are not completed prior to the start of the school year, your child will not be permitted to start the first day of 7th grade.
