The pictures that are to the right are a look into the fun we have throughout the year! :)
Purpose:
Tiger Times Monday gives students a consistent and meaningful opportunity to practice writing and communication by sharing something from their weekend. Students think about an experience, communicate their idea, and turn it into a personal writing piece. Because our students have varying needs, writing may look like drawing, labeling, tracing, using pictures or AAC, dictating, completing a sentence frame, or writing independently. The goal is to build confidence as writers while developing personal narrative and communication skills throughout the year.
Purpose:
Watch It Wednesday uses a short, age-appropriate academic or SEL-focused YouTube video as an engaging way to practice comprehension and communication. After watching, students think about what they saw, answer questions, discuss important details, and identify something they learned. Students can participate through speech, AAC, pictures, pointing, gestures, drawing, or writing. The goal is to strengthen academic skills, SEL, comprehension, vocabulary, and communication in an accessible and engaging way.
