Expectations: Students are expected to be in the classroom on time, as scheduled, with their completed assignments and required materials (including a fully charged laptop and/or charging cable). In addition, every student is expected to attend and actively participate in class discussions and activities is a positive, thoughtful manner. They are expected to present themselves with dignity, respecting themselves, their peers, their teachers, DHS staff and the school facility (i.e. not writing on desks, books, etc.).
Each time a student enters the classroom, the teacher as well as the other students expect the following behaviors of that individual in order to create an environment conducive to learning:
Come to class prepared with the appropriate materials (i.e. charged laptop or laptop with charger, completed homework).
Be in your assigned seat, ready to work before the late bell rings.
Raise you hand, not your voice, and wait for an appropriate break before speaking or leaving the classroom.
Keep your hands, feet, objects, and negative comments to yourself.
