The SeventhGrade Georgia Standards of Excellence for science are designed to give all students the necessary skills for a smooth transition from elementary life science standards to high school biology standards. The purpose is to give all students an overview of common strands in life science including, but not limited to, diversity of living organisms, structure and function of cells, heredity, ecosystems, and biological evolution
Dissection Alternatives: Click the image for resources that can be used for alternatives to live dissection. Resources include options for virtual dissection, images of live dissections, and options for checking out models to use in class.
Use this to ensure you have covered all standards by the end of the year. You can also give one to your students so they can self monitor their own learning. (Have them document grades based on standards for example)
