Instructional Programs

Bilingual students at Salinas Elementary in K-3rd grade learn through a dual language biliteracy program. This means that students receive both English and Spanish instruction in all subject areas.

Gifted and Talented students at Salinas Elementary are enriched in their instruction with special learning projects. During the fall students complete project based learning activities on summer reading books.

Students at Salinas have the privilege to participate in elective courses of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. STEAM courses are provided to all students on a 9 week rotation.

Migrant students at Salinas Elementary are provided additional interventions than those already provided to the general population.

At Salinas Elementary students are provided intervention based on individual student needs. This may include small group instruction or computer based intervention programs.

For students needing additional support, Salinas Elementary will be providing tutorials. More information will be provided as details are finalized.
