Bundle exams are given to students at the end of every six weeks and assess information taught only during that six weeks.
Benchmarks are STAAR-like exams given to students in the Spring semester for diagnostic purposes. They help teachers identify areas of need for students in order to better prepare them for the state assessments.
Progress Monitoring is conducted at multiple times during the year; Beginning of the Year (BOY), Middle of the Year (MOY), and End of the Year (EOY). These assessments assist in checking the progress of students in Reading and Math.
STAAR exams are given to all students in grades 3-5 in the subjects of Math, Reading, Writing in grade 4, and Science in grade 5. Approved supports may be provided for students who have shown need.
STAAR ALT exams may be given to students who have a significant cognitive disabilities in place of the traditional STAAR exam. This exam can only be approved by the ARD committee.
TELPAS is an English language proficiency test given to all English Language Learners in grades K-5. Students are assessed in 4 language domains; Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.
TELPAS ALT is an English Language proficiency test that may be given to English Language Learners with a significant cognitive disability. Students are assessed in 4 language domains; Listening Speaking, Reading, and Writing. Approval for this exam is provided by the ARD committee.
