Developed in 1969, by Dorothy Frayer at the Wisconsin Centre for Education Research. It's main purpose was to improve students' vocabulary and to help them learn difficult concepts more effectively.
The Frayer Model is a graphic organiser used to help students understand and define complex concepts, vocabulary & key words.
It encourages deeper understanding by breaking down information into four sections 👉
SIP Target #2 (2024-2025)
To achieve an 18 to 20% increase in the number of teachers who feel confident (rating of 4) or very confident (rating of 5) with differentiation strategies between Sept 2024 and May 2025
