Component 2:
Task 1: Identify two companies and one product produced by each company that directly relate to the NCT technical application your team has selected.
There are a few companies that produce products that are related to our proposal and further prove our reasoning to advance this issue into the 21st century. The first company is Listerine. They create a line of dental products including toothpaste and mouthwash. The product we are highlighting is their breath strips. These breath strips were a great thing when they came out years ago, but they only provide good breath for a very short period of time and are very harsh tasting.

The second company we would like to compete with is the breath specialist. They are a halitosis treatment company that started out as a group of dentists searching for a fix to a problem they see too often and don’t know how to treat. While this program may be effective, it is extremely tedious and there are daily treatments that are just unrealistic methods for such a simple thing as bad breath.

Task 2: Identify one professional association or trade organization associated with the products your team identified. Include:
The organization we have decided to go with is Mebo research inc. It is a research organization founded by a man who suffers with bad breath. They have been conducting research related to the real causes of halitosis and how it can possibly be prevented in the future. It is a public charity. In 2009 they began a gut dysbiosis testing operation in a lab in london. Dysbiosis is a result of an imbalance of good bacteria in the body.

Task 3: Propose and describe a new product or new process based on your team's NCT technical application.
The proposal and solution to the problem of halitosis we have chosen as the most viable fix to the problem is by using naturally occurring antibodies found in the body and alter the properties that make them attack certain things. We will find the antibodies that attach to bad breath causing bacteria and kill them. This will solve the problem of bad breath for the rest of the patient's life after a single shot or treatment. For an average person this doesn't seem very necessary however for someone who has chronic halitosis and would otherwise be willing to undergo rigorous medication and treatments this would be well worth it.
Task 4:The proposal of using antibodies for bad breath doesn't exactly have a clear cut type of corporation that would be able to release this product successfully. We could obviously go with a dental hygiene company but they may not have the facility to do the research.
We found a company that seems to be investing a lot of money into R&D so they may have the capacity to do the research. They are a dental company that is attempting to bring innovation into the dental world. They were founded in 1987 so they are a relatively young company that is probably looking for that one product that would push them into real profitability. The company is called biotech dental and they are very invested in the future of the dental industry according to their advertisements.
