Hi and welcome! My name is Molly Rogers. I grew up in a family of artists in San Francisco, CA. I now live across the bay in El Cerrito with my husband, Diego and dog, Addie.
I'm currently both a professor and integrative coach at Dominican. I feel honored everyday to work as a teacher and mentor, and strive to bring my best self to this job I find so rewarding. I'm fortunate to have found a career path that aligns with what I cherish most in life: a commitment to personal growth, the courage to explore what makes us vulnerable, and authentic connections forged with people over time.
I hold a Masters degree in dance, and have been dancing since childhood. Along the way, however, pretty much every idea I've ever had about what my life in dance would look like has drastically changed. My path through the dance world has forced me to ask lots of hard questions about who I am, what I want, and what I value.
Here are a few big shifts that I could never have anticipated, but have made me who I am today:
Over and over in my life, I've watched my own narrowly-defined version of artistic/professional success dissolve, creating space for multiple identities and new opportunities to emerge. I'm in a far different place than I imagined my BA--or even my MFA--would take me. But I couldn't be happier to have settled here.
