Dominican’s graduate programs are committed to fieldwork. While the type of fieldwork you will be doing will look different depending on your course of study (internship, practicum, fieldwork, student teaching, clinicals, etc.), getting involved in your field is both an exciting and important part of your education. The La Vida team is here to help all students, in any of our graduate programs, as you prepare for and embark upon your fieldwork experience; leveraging your learning for post-graduate success. Services can include support before, during, and after your fieldwork in the following ways:
Before fieldwork: Support with finding your fieldwork site that includes identifying your strengths, crafting a resume, perfecting your cover letter, and interviewing assistance.
During fieldwork: Support during your fieldwork including understanding professionalism and what that looks like in your field, how to get the most out of your experience, and how to connect your fieldwork experiences with classroom learning.
After fieldwork: Support with leveraging your fieldwork experience to find a job. Updating your resume and cover letters, job search strategies, organizing your search, interviewing, and evaluating offers.
Services include presenting in workshops in your academic programs as well as individual 1:1 support as needed.
