I have appeared in a variety of popular media outlets as an expert in social psychology, motivation, health psychology, and persuasion. Some examples of my public-facing work appear below.
I have authored or coauthored numerous articles geared toward public consumption, including in Scientific American, San Francisco Chronicle, and Your Local Epidemiologist, among others.
Along with those written pieces, I have been featured as a guest or interview subject in a variety of outlets, including National Public Radio's Hidden Brain, ABC News, and The Guardian, among others.
A joint effort with Dr. Michaela George, an epidemiologist, IIHR serves as a hub for health-related, community-engaged research in Marin County. Visit the IIHR website for more information.
Two other public-facing endeavors, currently on hiatus, feature Dr. Levine and I. The first, a podcast called Head Games, examines popular sports issues through the lens of psychological theorizing and research. The second, a Psychology Today blog also called Head Games, explores similar content in a written format. If you have interest in helping me revive these efforts, please reach out!
