STEAM and Sustainability Initiative

Maricopa Community Colleges has created a new interdisciplinary teaching and learning program in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) where the arts and humanities meet with STEM. The STEAM and Sustainability Initiative focuses on equitable and inclusive practices and uses a learner-centered model to prepare students to meet the demands of the 21st century workforce.  In an effort to position Maricopa as a national leader in STEAM, faculty from the 10 colleges are participating in the efforts to develop the interdisciplinary STEAM initiative and integrate diverse knowledge and perspectives.

STEAM and Sustainability projects at individual colleges have been collected on this Padlet.
