A Common Misconception
By: Adeline Dettloff
The Dolores School school colors are black and white and features a bear as a school mascot. Many people were under a false impression that the school colors were red and black, a misconception that stems back to at least the mid-90s. The misconception ran into the early 2000s, when the school website was first created and managed and featured heavy amounts of red. Many of the older Dolores graduates have expressed some disdain toward the over use of red, a color that was only supposed to be an accent to the black and white.
