Since the School was founded in 1976 by the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, the four Houses were known as Armstrong, Chichester, Hillary and Whittle to acknowledge the achievements of these four men who left a lasting impact on the world.  The previous House names will always be remembered as part of the School's history.
