History

It was founded in April, 1945 and named as Guanmiao Eastern Education School . The name was changed to Guanmiao Country Second Primary School in January, 1946. The next year, the school name was changed again to Guanmiao Country Wu Jia Primary School. On August 1st, 1968, the school was reorganized and had the new name, Wu Jia Elementary School.

School geographical location and general situation

Guanmiao District is situated at the south of Tainan City. The district is bordered by Sinhua District to the north, Longci District to the east, Gueiren District to the west, and Alian and Tianliao Districts of Kaohsiung City to the south.

Our students come from a variety of family background. And the residents here are very kind and simple. Pineapples, bamboo shoots, and Guanmiao noodles are the three treasures of Guanmiao. These produce also play important roles in Taiwan's agriculture.
