The School with A Heart!
For millennia, the Kumeyaay people have been a part of this land. This land has nourished, healed, protected and embraced them for many generations in a relationship of balance and harmony. As members of the Del Mar Union community we acknowledge this legacy. We promote this balance and harmony. We find inspiration from this land; the land of the Kumeyaay.
Educational Background and Professional Experience:
I earned my undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (CLAD) from Sacramento State University. I later attended San Diego State University, where I received my Master’s in Counseling with an emphasis in School Counseling, along with my Pupil Personnel Services Credential.
Before becoming a school counselor, I taught elementary school for four years across multiple grade levels as well as a dual immersion teacher. I am actively involved in the California School Counseling Association as an Emerging Leader and serve as an Ambassador Coordinator for the American School Counseling Association. I’m also a proud member of the Hip Hop Counseling Collective, which focuses on culturally responsive and creative approaches to support students through the medium of music.
I feel incredibly blessed and grateful to be part of the CDM community. I look forward to supporting our students’ academic, social, and emotional growth throughout the school year.

As a student-centered school counselor, I’m committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every child feels seen, valued, and empowered. My counseling approach is rooted in strong relationships, collaboration, and a belief in each student’s unique strengths and potential.
I work closely with students, families, educators, and community partners to help our students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. My goal is to build a nurturing space where students can thrive and develop the tools they need for lifelong success.
At CDM, the school counseling program supports all students in three key areas: academic success, social-emotional well-being, and future career awareness. Families can expect classroom lessons, short-term individual or group counseling, and collaboration with teachers and parents. The goal is to help every child grow, feel supported, and reach their full potential.
I’m honored to support the CDM community and look forward to a wonderful year together!
Outside of school, I love spending time in nature—whether it’s backpacking, rock climbing, surfing, or simply enjoying the outdoors. I also enjoy Crossfit, traveling with my partner to explore new places, try delicious food, and seek out new adventures. In my free time, I enjoy making music, practicing photography, and getting lost in a good book.
