Once we have tried various Tier 1 interventions, we will move toward Tier 2 supports!
Check in/Check Out or Check and Connect
Student will be connected with a trusted staff member of their choosing
The check in will occur at the beginning and end of each school day
Students can have clearly defined expectations/goals, daily prompts or questions to answer, daily feedback from teachers and parents, and/or additional support available on a daily and as-needed basis
Utilize Reflection Questions if needed
EL Mentor Program (Working On)
New students will be connected with an older student who speaks their language to welcome them into our school.
