This assumes you've already created an assignment. If you need help creating an assignment, follow this link. Follow the directions below to help with grading assignments.
1. Navigate to the assignment that needs to be graded. It should look like this.
I have all the assignments turned in, but you don't need to have all the assignments turned in to grade them.
2. From here click on the title of the assignment. It will open a new screen that looks like this.
3. Notice a couple of things on this screen. There is a list of all the students on the left hand side of the screen. This is where we are going to enter their grades. In the white area, you can see the individual assignments. I had each of these students add a Google Docs to their assignment. You can also see the number of students done or not done. Underneath those numbers is a drop down arrow. Here you can choose to see All the students, the students that are Done, or the students that are Not Done.
4. On the right hand side is where you can open each student's assignment. So for example, lets say we want to view Test Account's assignment. There is an attached document to this assignment. Above the word done is the link to the assignment. To open the assignment, simply click the link. That will open the assignment in a new tab. Review the assignment there and then close the tab.
5. On the left hand side of the screen above you can see where it says Add Grade. That is where we are going to type to grade we are going to give. It defaults to out of 100. To change this, where it says 100 points, click there and type in a new number. Confirm the new number and then when you grade it, it will be the correct total.
6. To add a grade, click "Add Grade" next to the name you'd like to add a grade to. Type in the number for the new grade.
7. Once you are done grading the assignment, click return. This will send the students an email saying they have a new grade. NOTE: You do not need to grade all of them at one time. Just make sure the check box is checked next to the grades you'd like to return.
