STAR 4.0 LITE edition is a competency-based training tailored to specific learning goals or outcomes and based on the skill requirements relevant for researchers. There are three available sessions for term 2. Register now to avail of the limited slots.

How does the STAR 4 compare with other STAR editions 1 to 3?
STAR 4.0 LITE is a skills based training with different topics for every session. For term 2, three different topics are offered. It differs from STAR 1 to 3 since it is not module based. Participants can select which topics they find interesting that they can attend to either consecutively or intermittently.
What are the topics offered for term 2?
Topic 1: Designing and Improving Instructional Practices through Action Research
Topic 2: Systematic Reviews and Navigating the DLSZ Library e-resources (for Research)
Topic 3: Quantitative Data Analysis using Statistical Software
Are participants expected to produce their own action research?
No, participants are not expected to produce action research for STAR 4.0 LITE. However, there are session/s where participants are expected to create an output. Moreover, the Research Office highly encourages and supports Lasallian Partners who would like to make action research for AY2324. Please refer to our Services page for more information.
Is it ok to attend STAR 4.0 LITE even if the Lasallian Partner has not handled a research class?
Yes, STAR 4.0 LITE is open to all Lasallian Partners both non-teaching and teaching personnel.
What available software will be used for Quantitative Data Analysis session?
The Research Office will provide a list of possible software to be used specific to this session and for use of Lasallian Partners for their data analysis.
Is there a topic about Qualitative Data Analysis in STAR 4.0 LITE session?
Yes, this will be offered in Term 3.
7. Will attendees receive a certificate of attendance after completing one topic?
Yes, attendees will be provided with a certificate of attendance on topics that were completed.
