Orthodoxy or orthopraxis is a word that means to show the right way to practice, to study, or to accept the studies of one's belief or religion. This means that we follow something to prove or show our faith (Meyendorff, 2023).
To start of with this topic there are 3 dimensions to show faith which is doctrine (the study of the scriptures), morals (doing what is right), and lastly worship (which is showing faith by worshiping God.). Now we must practice these 3 to show that we have complete faith in God and according to our lesson, we must balance those three. If we focus too much on doctrine then the person will ignore morals and worship (Dogmatism, 2023). If we focus too much on morals then it will be activism wherein the person ignores doctrine and worship. Lastly is ritualism wherein the person focuses too much on worshipping and ignoring the other two.
We also have Pious dogmatism (focuses too much on doctrine and worship and morals is ignored), ideological activism (focuses too much on doctrine and morals that worship is ignored), and lastly idealistic activism (this is a part where the person focuses too much on moral and worship that doctrine is ignored.)
To show or the ways we can achieve complete faith is by practicing and balancing these 3. Firstly, we must respect people around us, another example is to pray and attend mass or bible classes so that we can learn more about the word of our Lord. There are a lot of ways we can show our faith but as long as we believe and pray to God he will always be there with us and guide us.
To end this we will leave a short Bible verse. (James 2:26)
"As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead."
