The role of language in education and learning is both indispensable and transformative. Numerous studies underscore that effective learning is shaped by various interrelated factors, including studentsโ motivation, positive emotions, learning environment, and pedagogical approaches. Krashenโs Affective Filter Theory emphasizes how emotions and learner experiences significantly impact the ability to acquire new skills and competencies. Building on this framework, the session will explore the influence of these factors not only on language education but on fostering a holistic learning experience. Moreover, the session will connect Krashen's theory to emerging concepts such as gender mainstreaming, learning experience design, and social-emotional learning, highlighting their vital roles in enhancing students' academic achievement. By analyzing these intersecting elements, this discussion underscores languagesโ role in enhancing educational quality and fostering inclusive learning environments.
