Submission Guidelines:

1. The submission to the Bansayan Creative Writing Workshop 2024 is open to Grade 11 and 12 senior high school private and public students.

2. Submissions must be in any of the genres listed below in English or Filipino:

• fiction: a short story on any theme with three to six pages 

• poetry: at least three poems on the same theme 

3. The file must be formatted as follows: on an 8.5” x 11 Word document, 12 Arial, double-spaced, one-inch margin on all sides. The page number must be typed consecutively at the center of the bottom margin of each page. 

4. The author’s name must not be included in the header or any part of the manuscript. 

5. Submissions must be original and previously unpublished. 

6. Submissions must have the following filename format: Genre_Title in .doc or .docs extension. For poetry submissions, provide an overarching title to the set of poems. 

7. Submissions must be submitted on or before June 20, 2025. 

8. Students may submit multiple entries in different genres. However, a student will only participate in one workshop under one genre and entry. 

9. Only five (5) applicants will be selected for the fellowships in each genre. 

10. Include a bionote with 100-150 words together with the recent photo. 

11. Submissions must follow all of the guidelines to be accepted. 

12. Notices of acceptance and non-acceptance will be sent by June 23 - 27, 2025.
