Rules

• If a team does not show up at game time they will automatically take the L for that game

• Only 4 players and a goalie can be on the field at a time

• Substitution of players can only happen after a goal

• Hockey players can only hit the ball with the bottom of their stick.

• Hockey players (other than the goalkeeper) are not allowed to use their feet, or any other parts of the body, to control the ball at any time.

• Any ball that goes in the net can score 

• Hockey players may not trip, push, charge, interfere with, or physically handle an opponent in any way. 

• There are no Ties. Games ending in a tie will have a shoot out the last 10 minutes of lunch

  3. Teams can switch out  players in between rounds

• Teams must keep their own score and report to the MC at the end of the game

Fouls

• No hitting or tripping people with your stick or body

• No High Sticking

Penalties 

• All fouls will result in a penalty shot

Umpires

There is one student umpire on the hockey field, who is responsible for maintaining order and calling fouls. What the Umpire Says - GOs. A player who breaches the rules, either by rough or dangerous play, misconduct, or an intentional offenses, can be shown a card — yellow or red.

• Yellow. This results in a penalty shot.

• Red. A red card results in more serious and dangerous offenses and will result in the player being taken out of the game.
