Good Grooming
Good Grooming
Appearance on the job is important. When you look good, you feel good about yourself, and it reflects in your performance. Employers are more receptive to an individual who looks clean and well groomed. Here is a checklist to help you look your best:
Hygiene: Good personal hygiene always begins with a clean body (Bathe Daily) and using deodorant daily and after PE.
Hair: Shoud be trimmed, shampooed and clean, combed neatly and off the face.
Complexion: Should be clean and in food health. If you wear makeup, apply it sparingly. Men must shave, neatly comb and trim mustache and/or beard.
Dental: Brush and floss teeth mornings and evenings (more frequently if needed). Visit your dentist regularly.
Hand & Nail Care: Neatly trim and clean fingernails ( use a nail brush if needed). If you wear polish it should be light colored and not chipped. Clean hands are a must.
Dress: Clothes should be clean, neat and in good condition. Shoes should be comfortable and functional. Closed toes shoes should be worn at all job sites. Read the dress code for the work site you are assigned to for more details.
