Ultimate Frisbee

In 6th Grade, students learn to play Ultimate Frisbee. Ultimate Frisbee is a fantastic sport for a few reasons:

1) Like math, anyone can play Ultimate. You don't need to be born with the ability to throw or catch. With hard work and practice, any student can excel at Ultimate and compete at high levels!

2) Like math, it's co-ed. Both boys and girls can excel and learn to play together.

3) It's a self-officiated sport. Players need to problem solve on the field and work out their conflicts.

4) Ultimate is governed by "Spirit of the Game," a code of conduct that prizes fairness and good sportsmanship over winning.

All 6th graders (and older students!) are welcome to join Davis Youth Ultimate to play outside of school as well. Please contact Sr. Plaut directly for more details.
