In recognition of prior learning (RPL), students may apply for exemption from modules. TU Dublin is committed to fully complying with the NQAI document: Principles and Operational Guidelines for Recognition of Prior Learning in Further and Higher Education and Training, June 2005 . All details of the operation of this process are available at https://www.tudublin.ie/study/part-time/how-to-apply/recognition-of-prior-learning/
For the BSc (Hons) in BIM, typically exemptions will only apply to the Review modules. All exemptions must be applied for individually (http://www.dit.ie/studentservices/feesandgrants/exemptions/), with appropriate supporting documentation.
The form is to be sent to smdt.adm@tudublin.ie and the module lecturer by the end of September of the academic session (and end of programme as we have a January start). The exemption will be considered by the programme admissions board and the outcome communicated to the student and to TU Dublin's Fees Department, if approved and if a refund is due. All details of the financial implications of the exemptions are available at: http://www.dit.ie/studentservices/feesandgrants/exemptions/
