Locker Procedures
Gym shoes are kept in your child’s locker. If your child does not have designated shoes for gym, they will not be allowed to play that day. Students who choose to wear sandals to school are encouraged to keep a pair of white socks in their locker for gym.
Art smocks are kept in your child’s locker.
Library book are due bi-weekly. Make sure to return books promptly to ensure that you are not fined.
Lockers are to be kept clean. NO food items are to be left in lockers overnight. This will be considered when grades are given for organization skills.
Homework
Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday. Please check your child's Homework Calendar. The calendar show be in your child's Take Home Folder on Monday night with that night's homework. Take Home Folders will go home nightly and must be returned to school daily. The Take Home Folder and Homework Calendar is one way that I can communicate with you what is going on at school. Please clean out this folder nightly.
Students are assigned to read 20 minutes every night. This is part of developing a consistent routine at home that promotes academic growth through reading for enjoyment. Students are encouraged to choose books during library check out that are at their level, have interesting content, and inspire students to read. Even if your child does not have work to complete at home, reading should be completed nightly.

Behavioral Consequences
Positive behaviors are rewarded with a Bulldog Ticket. The tickets are collect for either a school or class reward.
Students who consistently make negative behavioral choices will receive a note home and a lower mark on their report card for behavior. The behavior that is displayed will also be noted in the comments section of the report card.
