5th Grade Stop Motion Animation

As part of a 5th grade unit on Google Slides, we made stop motion animation movies. We discussed story elements first. Then students learned how to tell a story by incrementally moving characters/objects from one slide to another. Students used anywhere between 50 and 400 slides. Students practiced duplicating slides, finding images to match characters and settings, removing backgrounds (if needed), adding speech bubbles, and sharing/working with others.

Here are a few stop motion movies for you to enjoy. Just press the arrow button on your keyboard (kind of quickly) to see characters and text in motion.
