Character Strong SEL Curriculum (6-8)
Character Strong is our Tier I (all students) social-emotional curriculum with lessons focused on increasing a sense of belonging for all students, improving skills that support student well-being, and deepening student engagement in their academics, in their school, and in their community. Students engage in Character Strong lessons weekly taught by their Math and LLA teachers (homeroom teachers on half days).

City of Evanston Mental Health Resources: local, state, and national mental health support resources.
FYI/PSI Community Resources: local community resources organized by need (i.e. food, housing, health/mental health, immigration, legal, workforce, transportation)
BEACON Public Portal: Illinois "Behavioral Health Care and Ongoing Navigation" (BEACON) provides centralized resources for youth and families seeking services for behavioral health.
Calm App: provides mental health content and tools. (i.e. guided breathing and mindfulness exercises)
Teen Mental Health Apps: vetted apps designed for adolescents rooted in research-based therapeutic tools and approaches.
Erika's Lighthouse: a not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating and raising awareness about adolescent depression, encouraging good mental health, and breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health issues.
