Math U See
Math U See is a core math resource that covers most K-12 standards. Special education teachers have found that it works well for helping students accelerate to fill gaps in understanding to be ready for and continue into high school math. It includes a range of manipulative resource kits, placement assessments, online resources and student workbooks. Their online support site provides videos from the founder on how to teach many math concepts, so is particularly helpful for teachers new or less experienced in teaching math. The Math-U-See approach helps students learn and succeed at their own pace. It consists of 13 levels, building from an introduction to mathematics through calculus.

EdReady and NROC
NROC (National Repository of Online Courses) Developmental Math sequence includes all of the essential math required for the ACT or Accuplacer (college readiness exams), broken into 19 units from Whole Numbers to Trigonometry. This content can be implemented digitally (Moodle course) or in print. Course content is accessible to 287 teachers on the District Curriculum Hub site.
EdReady by NROC is a personalized learning system for college and career readiness, based on the same 19 units in the Developmental Math sequence. Students complete a diagnostic assessment based on a specific goal and then can learn and work through a personalized study path to achieve their goal. A goal might include individual math topics, single units or a set of multiple units, up to the entire 19 units (ACT readiness). Teachers get valuable data to guide students to success and improve retention.
There are a variety of ways a teacher might utilize these resources. Some teachers may utilize EdReady as their Tier-1 or core curriculum, others may use it only as a diagnostic tool, while others may use it to teach specific topics, fill gaps in student learning, and more. ALC teachers have used EdReady for credit recovery purposes as well.
