No Cost Food General Guidelines

On August 31, 2020, the USDA announced extension of the Summer Food Service Program. While we are waiting on specific guidance from the Illinois State Board Education, we are assuming that we will be able to continue to offer free breakfast and lunch to any school age student that requests a meal.

No Cost Food Meal Pickup

We will offer meal pickups on Monday and Thursday only at the following locations at 9-11 a.m.:

• Belvidere Central Middle School - Athletic Entrance (south parking lot)

• Washington Academy - Cafeteria entrance (off 7th Street)

• Belvidere South Middle School - Circle Drive

Students (or parents) will be able to pick up both breakfast and lunch. Three days worth of meals will be distributed on Monday and two days worth of meals on Thursday (e.g. 6 meals total on Monday and 4 meals total on Thursday). We will not serve meals on school calendar holidays. The next school day will be a serving day. For example, Monday, October 12th is a school calendar holiday. Meals will therefore be distributed on Tuesday, October 13th.

In Person Instruction

All students attending school in person will be eligible for free breakfast and lunch at their respective attendance center.
