Please see Mr. Costabile for printed copies of ILMEA audition music for this year, or check below for digital versions. If you are interested in pursuing a career in music education after high school, ask Mr. Costabile about applying for the Future Music Educator Seminar (FMES), which takes place during the ILMEA Conference and All-State festival in January,

  • October 5, 2023 - Audition videos due to Mr. Costabile

  • November 2023 - Composition Contest entry deadline

  • November 11th, 2023 - ILMEA Jazz Festival

  • November 18th, 2023 - ILMEA Concert Festival

  • January 24 - 27, 2024 - ILMEA Conference and All-State Festival in Peoria, IL

Audition Rules (IMPORTANT...READ THIS)

For those of you planning to audition, it is EXTREMELY important that you read through the ILMEA Rules for your audition. There are no re-takes for students who were not prepared for the auditions. The following links will take you to the audition rules pages for our ILMEA District. It is the student's responsibility to fully read the rules for their auditions and prepare accordingly.

Audition Materials

The following Google Drive folder will have all the audition materials needed for the auditions. (Strings - see Mr. Costabile). The purpose of this folder is to enable access to students in a digital media context, and not to distribute copyrighted materials illegally. District 100 owns and maintains original copies of all excerpts included in the folders below.

***IMPORTANT**** Some of the audition materials are on a cycle system. Make sure you select the correct set according to the year. Those folders will be marked with a year in the name to help out.
