Sinclair Roechner serves as a Co-Director of Bands at Belvidere Central Middle School. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Illinois State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and is currently advancing her professional qualifications by completing a Master of Music Education at the University of Missouri at Columbia. Ms. Roechner is an accomplished flutist with over 13 years of performance experience across a variety of ensembles, bringing this extensive background to her teaching practice. Her career began in Ashland, IL, at A-C Central Junior/High School, where she directed the 5th-12th grade band. She currently teaches the 6th-8th grade band program at Belvidere Central Middle School. In recognition of her dedication and excellence in education, she was recently nominated for the 2025-2026 Golden Apple Award.

Mr. Hunter, Co-Director of Bands at BCMS, graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in music education. During his time at UIUC, he studied trumpet under Professor Ronald Romm, an internationally recognized trumpeter and founding member of the renowned chamber group Canadian Brass. Mr. Hunter performed with the Illinois Wind Symphony, the university’s top auditioned ensemble, and was a dedicated member of the Marching Illini for four years. He traveled and performed with the Marching Illini at prestigious venues like Soldier Field and Navy Pier in Chicago, Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland. Currently, he continues to play trumpet with the Wheaton, DeKalb, and Sterling Municipal Bands. Mr. Hunter grew up in Batavia, IL and resides in DeKalb, IL, with his girlfriend and Boo, the cat.
