Woodwind instruments include Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, and Saxophone (in order from highest pitch to lowest pitch).
These instruments involve using reeds (usually made out of cane) that vibrate against a mouthpiece to produce sound (flute being the exception to this). Each of these instruments use a complex system of keys that change the openings on the instrument, which in turn changes the notes.
Each instrument has different ways of maintaining the instrument, but oiling keys, greasing corks to prevent tearing, and maintaining cleanliness of areas where joints meet are essential to keeping instruments in good shape.
