Hello, WOIS Families!
We are looking forward to our 4th Grade Concert on Thursday, October 22, at 7:00 p.m. in the WOMS Gym! Our 4th graders have been working so hard to prepare, and they are ready to dazzle their audience! They will also perform for the rest of the school during the school day on Thursday. We can't wait to celebrate their hard work and share their musical talents with our school community!
The week of October 26–30 is Red Ribbon Week! Red Ribbon Week is a national campaign that encourages students to make healthy, safe, and drug-free choices. We will celebrate throughout the week with a different spirit day each day. We hope our Wolfpack will join in the fun!
Red Ribbon Week Spirit Days:
Monday, October 26: Pajama Day
Tuesday, October 27: Wear District 76 Spirit Wear
Wednesday, October 28: Color Wars — each grade level wears a different color!
Thursday, October 29: Wear RED!
Friday, October 30: Halloween Costume Day 🎃
Thank you for your continued support in making WOIS such a wonderful place to learn and grow. Have a fantastic weekend, Wolfpack Families!

Families are invited to watch the parade outside at the front or side of the school during this time. We are also partnering with the PTO, who will be providing snacks, crafts, and fun activities for the classroom parties. For additional information, please click here.
Dia de los Muertos 11.6: Join us on Friday, November 6th, at our annual Dia de los Muertos event from 6:00-8:00 p.m. This event has been a community and cultural celebration for our students and their families, providing food, games, music, dance, and arts/crafts.
Erin's Law: In accordance with Erin’s Law, all Illinois public schools are required to provide age-appropriate lessons each year to help students recognize unsafe situations, understand personal body safety, and know how to seek help from trusted adults. We will be presenting the lesson(s) during the weeks of November 2, 2026 through November 13, 2026. These lessons are designed to empower students with knowledge and skills to protect themselves. They focus on:
Understanding the difference between safe and unsafe touches
Identifying trusted adults at home and school
Learning how to say “no” and get help when feeling unsafe
Recognizing personal boundaries and respect for others
The lessons are presented in a sensitive, age-appropriate manner by our trained staff and/or approved curriculum resources. Our goal is to ensure students feel safe, supported, and informed. If you have questions about the content of these lessons or wish to review the materials before they are presented please contact your school social worker by Wednesday, October 28, 2026:
