We had such a wonderful week at school, and last Friday’s Back to School Bash was truly a blast! It was so special to see many of our families and community members come together to celebrate the start of the school year. A huge thank you goes out to our amazing PTO for organizing such a fun and memorable event!
As we settle into the school year, we want to remind families how important regular attendance is. When students are at school every day, they build stronger relationships, stay engaged in learning, and are better prepared for success. Thank you for helping your child arrive on time and ready to learn each day—it makes a big difference!

Clubs and Activities: Starting September 24th, we will be offering several clubs and activities, such as Intramural Sports, Girls Who Code, Student Council, Soccer, and Zumba! A message was sent out last night at 6:00 p.m. via ParentSquare with sign up information. Additionally, the same information was sent home in paper form with students today. Registration forms are due by Thursday, September 18th at noon. Bus transportation home is available.
Countryside Fire Poster Contest: We are so excited to team up with Countryside Fire again this year for their fire prevention poster contest! Please click here and here to review the directions and rules for this year's contest. If your student wishes to participate, please have their posters dropped off at our office no later than September 22nd.

5th Grade Band and Choir: 5th Grade Band and Choir will begin on Monday, September 15th for those that signed up. If your student signed up to ride the bus home, families will be receiving communication with bus information.
Diamond Awards: New to this year, we ask families to complete this nomination Form if they would like to recognize a staff member they feel are going above and beyond with what they do in the classroom, school, or district. Please consider spreading the positivity by highlighting the great work that staff our doing in our district.
D76 CARES: At D76, the well-being of our students and families is our top priority. Understanding the critical role mental health plays in student success, we have launched D76 CARES - a comprehensive initiative aimed at improving access to quality mental health services across our community. D76 CARES stands for Community, Advocacy, Resilience, Engagement, and Support. Treatment services are initially provided free of charge to district families for up to 8 sessions. Reading together at home is one of the most powerful ways to support your child’s learning. Even 15 minutes a day makes a big difference! You can read to your child, take turns reading, or simply listen as they read to you. Talking about the story afterward helps build comprehension and keeps learning fun.
