We recognize that not all members of SDS have the experience or capacity to find collaborators across disciplines and institutions. We invite individual scholars, panels, roundtables, and workshop groups to post ideas for single paper presentations or lightning talks to use our Collaboration Forum to find interlocutors.
Prospective submitters can consult this database to find collaborators, add more diverse perspectives to their panels, lightning talks, or workshops, and build their networks.
We're so glad you're using the SDS conference to find new people to be in conversation with!
Here's how to get started on this:
To post to the Collaboration Forum, please fill out the following Google Form with your name, contact information, and details about your proposed paper, talk, or session.
Your form response will automatically populate the following view-only Google Sheet, managed by the conference organizers. This spreadsheet is officially the "forum" you can use to find other groups or people.
Contact the relevant person using the information provided on the Sheet - please be respectful, kind, and aware that contacting someone does not guarantee you a collaborator.
The posting form will remain open until September 13, 2026. The forum sheet will be available to view until the final conference submission deadline of September 20, 2026.
Note: The SDS Board and Conference Committee will not be pulling together relevant panels - this is on submitters to do. We will also not be using the forum to determine accepted sessions.
