All synchronous sessions will take place on Zoom, with possible use of breakout rooms for informal gathering.
Synchronous sessions will feature ASL and CART. Breakout rooms will have automated captions.
Asynchronous sessions will be hosted on a digitally accessible platform like SDS's WordPress website or this Google Site.
Each 90 minute session will be followed with at least a 30 minute break after.
Shorter bio breaks will also be built into sessions.
Each session will have a designated set of Accessibility Coordinators who will facilitate access through tasks like monitoring and voicing the Zoom chat, ensuring functional CART and ASL, sharing transcripts or additional materials, managing the conference email, etc.
We will be seeking volunteers for these Accessibility Coordinator positions for the duration of the conference. **More information on this is forthcoming.
Conference information will be communicated via email and this website.
All Zoom presenters and facilitators will receive information on accessible online presentations.
All visual artists or asynchronous presenters will receive information on image descriptions and other digital accessibility practices.
