Much of the work I am invited into is complex, relational, and situated within systems that carry history, power, and competing expectations. I therefore work in ways that are intentional, collaborative, and bounded — so that the work we do together is ethical, focused, and sustainable.
I am not a “plug-in” consultant. I work best when there is a shared willingness to think carefully, name what feels difficult or stuck, and engage with complexity rather than bypass it.
My work combines advisory, facilitation, and coaching-informed practice. Depending on the context, I may act as a thinking partner, facilitator, strategic advisor, or reflective companion, often moving between these roles as the work evolves.
Across all engagements, I pay close attention to:
power and positionality
lived experience and self-representation
institutional and political context
ethical decision-making
implementation realities, not only intention
I value spaces where people can think clearly, speak honestly, and engage across difference without rushing to resolution. Much of this work requires patience, judgement, and care.
You might be coming to this work if:
your organisation has strong commitments to disability inclusion, but implementation keeps stalling
You are under pressure to “do more” on disability inclusion, without clarity on where to start or what will make the most difference
You are navigating tension or mistrust between rights-holders and duty-bearers, and need support to move the conversation forward
Your advocacy feels reactive or fragmented, and you want to strengthen strategy and coherence
You are carrying significant responsibility as a leader or practitioner and need a thinking partner rather than another framework
You are being asked to mainstream disability inclusion across programmes or institutions, without the authority, resources, or alignment to do so meaningfully
These situations are rarely technical problems alone. They often require careful diagnosis, shared understanding, and thoughtful pacing.
If you are unsure which support you need, I invite you to briefly reflect on the situations above and consider which best aligns with your current context.
You are welcome to get in touch with a short description of:
what feels most difficult or stuck right now, and
what you are hoping might shift through working together
This helps us decide whether and how to proceed.
Because the work I do is context-specific, I do not offer “off-the-shelf” solutions. At the same time, I am mindful of the limits of unpaid exploratory work.
Most engagements, therefore, begin with:
a short, focused conversation to clarify what is currently feeling most stuck or pressing
agreement on a defined piece of advisory, facilitation, or diagnostic work
clarity on scope, roles, and expectations before deeper engagement
This approach protects the quality of the work and respects everyone’s time and labour.
I work collaboratively and with respect for self-representation. Where possible, I partner with and create opportunities for consultants with disabilities to lead or co-lead work, thereby contributing to a stronger, more sustainable disability-inclusion ecosystem.
I am transparent about what I can offer, and equally clear about what I do not do. This helps ensure that any collaboration is purposeful, ethical, and mutually beneficial.
