Pre Section
Daffodil International School, English Version, Pre-Section offers many benefits as well as facilities to the students for providing high quality, skill based education from playgroup to K.G. The main motto is providing a great place for kids to interact with peers and learn valuable life lessons such as how to share, take turns, and follow rules. Besides, engaging themselves in outdoor activities which play an important role in their physical, mental, intellectual and social well being. Here no extra pressure is created over the students; otherwise students learned the academic lesson in the school area with great fun. The aim of our organization is to identify the role of empathy in the learning process and to make students get involved in it and obtain fruitful outcomes in this direction.
We believe today's education is no more about learning a particular subject. It is now more of mastering skills that will help each student to identify their inner talents, Potential and to stand out in the crowd as a confident and independent individual.
Our classrooms are well equipped and decorated based on the toddler's colorful imagination. The presence of a playground, ball house, ICT lab and library allows our students to prepare themselves academically for kindergarten and beyond.
Play Group
Children start to explore the world around them as soon as they are born. On the other hand, quality education in the early years of preschool sets a firm foundation in the overall development of a child. At DIS, the play group curriculum enables children to continue their exploration and provides a right array of activities to help children move towards achieving their early learning goals.
In Play Group, children are engaged in school activities such as reading, writing, counting, number recognition, matching, shapes patterns, rhymes recitation and learning basic general knowledge in a fun filled but purposeful manner. Children are encouraged to collaborate their learning through activities in the areas of music, dance, making craft and arts, study tour, participate in several cultural programs
Nursery
The Nursery section of DIS is such a class where experienced teachers are working. They perfectly handle and manage their class. Here teachers plan and organize a wide variety of early learning activities that help children to develop their social, emotional, physical and creative abilities; their skills with words and numbers and also their understanding of the word around them. Classes are structured which involves the students in individual as well as group activities and teachers nurture them in such a manner where they get potential enhancements. All the teachers are appreciated by the students and parents for their loving and caring nature.
KG
DIS - EV mainly focuses on the encouragement of learning through fun as well as play. Introduction of academic subjects to kindergartners, while keeping it at their level; we like to engage students with project work, quiz competition, art & craft and other activities. The main motto is making the academic activities more interesting to the students. In addition to age-appropriate activities in Kindergarten, which prepare a child for success in formal school; various other activities are conducted in the areas of language, numbers, general knowledge, music as well as art in a planned manner throughout the program. Through these activities, children learn the alphabet and letter sounds, numbers and simple math, speaking and early writing skills and also become confident. At DIS- (English Version), the Kindergarten (K.G.) curriculum ensures smooth transition to formal schooling with meaningful and progressive learning experiences.
Pre Section In-charge
Ayesha Hossain Mir is working in DIS-EV Pre-Section for more than six years and the coordinator of the Pre section as well as the class teacher of Nursery. She is the most experienced teacher who actively supports and participates in all initiatives. Her communication skill is very appropriate, responsive and supporting manner which specially helps a lot in dealing with parents. All the students like her so much for her loving nature and friendly behavior. She is always active and manages the whole Pre- section very well.
Meet with Teachers
Nabila: Sanjida Nargis Nabila is the classteacher of PG at Daffodil International School- English Version. She loves teaching! It's a simple statement that sums up her view. She loves being here at DIS and with the incredible kids. They give her joy and she feels that watching her students develop and discover who they are as the year passes is an indescribable feeling that not many people get to witness.
Tabassum: Mrs. Umme Tabassum is the class teacher of KG in DIS- (English Version). She has been working here for about 2 years. Her passion of teaching reflects throughout her work as well as kids are very much attached with her. She takes the teaching profession as an enjoyable challenge and achieves success on these criteria.
Extra Curricular Activities
DIS-EV aims to cultivate the creative mind among the students. Our toddlers take part in music, dance, recitation, rhymes and so many other activities. They enjoy the moments of creativity in the crafting classes and make flowers, butterflies, trees etc. They enjoy every bit of the moment of learning. Also, they learn many valuable things like sharing things, working in a group, building leadership and taking responsibilities.
Music
DIS-EV considers Music as an important part for all children to learn and leads to better brain development for connecting human beings and also for stress relief. The students at DIS (english Version) are guided by a competent faculty and supported by a host of instruments to nurture their latent talent.
Art
DIS- (EV) believes that Art makes people optimistic about their future. So, we focus on the art and craft area for the students to help them to spread a message of inspiration, achieve great things in life. Art can be a form of communication between people, to focus on common issues for the betterment of humankind.
ICT
DIS (English Version) focuses on information and Communication Technologies (ICT ), encompasses the use of a wide range of digital tools, media and learning environments for teaching, learning and assessing. We believe ICT provides opportunities for the transformation of teaching and learning and enables students to investigate, create, communicate, collaborate, organize and be responsible for their own learning and actions.
Manner and behavior
DIS- (EV) understands the importance for students to understand how to behave appropriately in different social situations. We prepare them as a mannered and well- behaved human being by practicing table manners, patience, greetings as well as polite language.
Cultural Participation
Elaborate programmes are held every year at DIS (English Version) to highlight the special features of Bangladeshi tradition and culture. Ekushey February, the International Mother Language Day, Pohela Boishakh (the first day of the Bangla calendar year) and so many, are observed to convey the significance of the events towards the students.
Online Activities
Daffodil International School- English Version secures a reliable and consummate platform with several online activities to ensure students’ quality education in the ongoing situation of COVID 19.COVID19 has far-reaching consequences on different sectors of our life including the halt in regular education facilities. It has been almost half a year since we saw the methodical way of our education system being collapsed. "Online Class" has been introduced to mitigate the damage we have faced from COVID 19.
· Conducting routine classes through Google meet, zoom and other online platforms.
· Conducting online assessments through Google meet on the basis of completed lessons.
· Arranging Half Yearly Examination.
· Arranging PTM (Parents- Teachers- Meeting) on the day of result card distribution.
· Arranging extra classes for weak students.
· Checking homework’s, assignments and giving feedback regularly.
