I received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the State University of Maringá (1996), a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2002), and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Federal University of Paraná (2013), with a period of doctoral studies in the sandwich modality at Institute for Systems Engineering and Computers (INESC - Porto, Portugal) in 2012. I completed a Postdoctoral internship at the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (2020) and also at the Federal University of Pernambuco (2025). Currently, I am Associate Professor in the Department of Informatics at the State University of Maringá (UEM) and I have been a CNPq productivity fellow since 2021. I have been a permanent member of the Graduate Program in Computer Science at UEM since 2014, conducting research in pattern recognition. I have published over 100 articles, including more than 30 in high-impact international scientific journals and over 80 in prestigious international conferences.
