Highway 401 and Highway 4

Project Overview

Highway 4 (Colonel Talbot Road) Bridge & Interchange

Originally designed by M.M. Dillon in 1956, the Highway 4 Bridge has been identified for replacement to address operational requirements and accommodate future Highway 401 widening. Improvements to the interchange, including ramp realignments/reconfiguration are also proposed.

Glanworth Drive Bridge

The Glanworth Drive Bridge was originally construction in 1958. To address operational needs and to accommodate future highway 401 improvements a new structure is required. As part of this project an assessment of the future need for this bridge will be completed to determine if traffic volumes on Glanworth Drive warrant a structure at this location. Options being considered for the Glanworth Drive bridge include permanent closure and removal of the bridge or replacement.
