Summer Cooking Camps (ages 8-17 years)

Do you have children interested in learning basic, and not so basic, cooking techniques? Do they have an interest and flare for different ethnic delicacies? How about the science behind it all? Well this is the cooking class for them!  My name is Kirsten Hibbs and I am the owner and production manager of Dillicious Canned Goods in proprietary since 2017 (specializing in artisanal pickled products and other canned goods). Myself and my Sous Chef in Residence, Ms. Sarah Jordan, are also full time licensed upper school science teachers at University Liggett School. We want to combine our love of food, science and teaching because we see the benefit that such classes have in honing both creativity and real world skills that aren't currently being offered in our school systems.  I have been giving private lessons to adults and children alike for the past five years in their homes, and have decided to open up my commercial kitchen space (Christ Church @ 61 Grosse Pointe Blvd, GPF, MI 48236) to a select few.  We will have a maximum of (10) spots available for each session which guarantees both safety and more one-on-one teaching time with every student.  In addition students will be paired in order to enhance their collaboration skills.

Classes are Tuesday-Thursday from 10am-1pm

Sessions are $325 per student for the (3) days and includes  all in class food, LOTS of take home food stuffs, a personalized apron, and physical copies of all recipes created !  Sign up for one session or ALL three!

Those with multi session sign ups will receive a discount: (2) sessions= $575 & (3) sessions=$800
