We primarily publish authors from the Philippines and the global Filipino diaspora. We specifically seek out work rooted in or inspired by Philippine heritage, folklore, history, culture, food, and the lived diaspora experience.

Poetry: Up to 5 poems per submission
We support .doc, .docx, .pdf formats and also open links (please make "view-only."

We strive for rolling submissions and attempt to give every submitter an answer within 12 weeks.

No, we ask that you do not submit work that is currently under consideration with other presses or publications.

No, we currently only accept original, unpublished work. This includes stories previously posted on social media, personal blogs or Substacks.

Yes! 100%. You do not need a literary agent or a formal publishing track record to submit to DILIM Press. We evaluate every submission strictly on the strength and voice of the work itself.

All accepted contributors receive flat fee honorariums/royalties and contributor copies. Specific rates are listed in each open call.

We do not accept AI-generated work, as we view AI image and text generation as exploitation of (and theft from) human creators.
While we recognize that AI features are currently being forced into everyday tools and platforms, DILIM Press exists to honor and protect work made by humans, for humans.
Every line, word, and draft you submit must be your original work. Thank you for supporting human writers and artists. We accept grammar and research usage, but no generative AI in your submitted work.
