The pre-training confidence survey or Training Needs Assessment (TNA) (collected alongside the registration) shows a critical need for targeted intervention during this CapDev activity:
Analysis of the 35 participant responses reveals that confidence is lowest in the ability to edit GAD Plans and Accomplishment Reports, scoring an average of only 2.74 out of 5. This crucial reporting function, along with generating reports (Avg. 2.77), demands the most intensive, hands-on focus during the training sessions.
Conversely, participants demonstrated the highest confidence in the basic access function, "I know how to log in and access the system without assistance" (Avg. 3.46). This strength allows the training design to minimize time spent on system basics and maximize time dedicated to resolving the critical skill gaps in planning and reporting.
