If you still don't see any booked language courses for the next Friday/Monday, please wait until Tuesday evening/Thursday evening and check again then.
If still nothing has changed, please submit a request at the Student Help Desk.
Unfortunately, it can happen that a teacher has to cancel a lesson at short notice (e.g. due to illness, technical problems, etc.). Please attend the next lesson you see in your account. You will shortly receive a credit on your account to re-book the cancelled lesson.
Unfortunately, sometimes a teacher has to cancel class on short notice (due to illness, technical problems, etc.) and can’t inform attendants before the course starts ("Waiting for the host to start the meeting.").
After 15 minutes you can close the Zoom room.
Afterwards, please attend the next lesson visible in your account. You will soon receive credit in your account to rebook the canceled lesson.
If you are unable to attend a language lesson, you will receive an absence email from Lingoda and, on Wednesday or Thursday after the missed lesson, also from the DCI. Please ignore the email from Lingoda and reply to the DCI email with the absence form to excuse your absence. Documents can also be uploaded there for proof, such as doctor's note.
Please file a request via the Student Help Desk and specify the date when you received the email. We will try to find the error and correct it.
If you believe the level of your current language class is not adequate, please file a request via the Student Help Desk. We will help you assess your personal level and see which group has available slots.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to change the language after the start of the course. However, if we have mistakenly booked the wrong language for you, please file a request via the Student Help Desk.
Thanks to feedback from our learners, we have removed topics that were deemed uncomfortable or triggering from the course materials. These topics are automatically skipped and will not appear in your lessons. You don’t need to take any action, and you can rest assured that this will not affect your attendance or progress in any way.
Our top priority is to provide a safe and comfortable learning environment for all participants. If you do come across a topic that feels uncomfortable, you can always reach out to us via the Student Help Desk for support.
The language course is a mandatory part of our training program and must be attended regularly. The Job Agent will be informed about attendances and absences from the language course. It is not possible to drop out of the language course. No language certificate will be issued at the end of the course if the absence rate exceeds 30%.
Registration opens about a month before the end of your language course. You will receive more information and the registration form in the class-specific slack channel. Please do not send emails, tickets, or slack messages regarding your exam registration, but wait for the official registration to open.
The date of the test depends on your location and exam. Once we have received your registration, we will find a testing center near you and send you available dates. It may take several weeks from the start of our search to the final appointment. Please note that C2 language exams may have significantly longer wait times and an exam date cannot be guaranteed. However, we will do our best to make C2 exams available to you.
