Garden Salsa

Ingredients:

  • 6 tomatoes (1/4-inch diced)

  • 1 sweet onion (chopped)

  • 3 green onions (sliced thin with green tops included)

  • 1 jalapeño (seeds removed, diced)

  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro (finely chopped)

  • 8 oz. tomato sauce (canned)

  • 4 oz. green chiles (chopped)

  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin

  • salt and pepper (to taste)

For serving: tortilla chips

Directions:

  1. Gather the ingredients.

  2. In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients and mix well.

  3. Taste for seasoning. Place in an airtight container in the fridge for at least 2 hours to let the flavors blend.

  4. Serve in a medium-size bowl alongside chips.
