Role of the Home Room Advisor

Home Room Advisors support the pastoral care and wellbeing of students within their assigned grade, ensuring students feel known, supported, and connected to the school community. Working under the guidance of the Secondary Vice Principal(s) they monitor student wellbeing, attendance, behaviour, and academic engagement, and serve as a key point of coordination between teachers, students, and families.

Home room Advisors help embed and reinforce Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills through home room and pastoral programming, guide students in developing strong organizational and self-management habits, and proactively address emerging concerns to support student growth and a positive grade-level culture.
