Be creative with it!
Allow campers to share and collaborate when creating a skit
Make sure no one is forced into a "role" and all parts are equal
Don't do basic skits
(ie: soap and water, water through ears)
Have campers face and speak towards the audience
While in the audience remind campers of watching etiquette
sit quietly
clap/ cheer when appropriate
Skit Ideas:
songs
original skits that go with the theme of camp
magic shows
Make sure all games are camp appropriate
Encourage but don't force campers to participate
Make sure games maintain camp voice levels
No one is "out" or excluded from the game
Make sure games can be altered to fit accessibility needs
Check with core elves before starting a game at core activities
Night at the Museum
Have one or two campers be "guards"
Have the rest of the campers line up
When the "guards" turn around have girls walk/dance to an end point
When the "guards" turn around have campers pose like statues
If caught moving joins the guards if not continue to the finish line
Hit the Deck
Have campers form a blob in front of you (make sure they are arms length from each other)
Call out "calls" that have them perform a motion and have them try not to be the last to perform motions
Motions:
"Attention"- campers salute
"Row the boat"- campers go to their knees and pretend to row a boat
"Pirate"- cover an eye and say "aye matey"
As game progresses call the motions out quicker
Honey I love You
