The city of Rome is easy to reach, with direct flights from most major international airports and frequent, high-speed trains to other major cities in Italy.
There are two main airports in Rome, Fiumicino and Ciampino, with regular flights from the main EU hubs (with Alitalia, KLM, Lufthansa, etc.). The center of Rome is approximately 40' from the airports by bus/train.
